New App: FareWell Poetry

To celebrate the release of their first album ‘Hoping for the Invisible to Ignite‘ (Gizeh Records, September 2011), MU has invited the collective FareWell Poetry to create a sonic environment based on their film and opening track ‘As True As Troilus’.
The FwP application invites you to dive into ‘As True As Troilus‘ and experiment, replay and rediscover this piece on your iPhone.
You can play each of the five parts using the corresponding buttons at the bottom of the screen. By shaking your iPhone you can add or subtract an instrument. Changing your phone’s horizontal orientation pans certain tracks whilst changing the vertical orientation integrates the microphone in order to modulate the natural sounds of the environment around you, contributing to a unique experience.

Urban biodiversity experience

Wild is a sound device for iPhone. This immersive device is based on biodiversity sound amplification in urban spaces. Wild invites to immerge into the urban biodiversity, discovering the natural part of our environments.

This scientific, pedagogic and artistic project has been inaugurated the 6th of July at Buttes Chaumont Gardens during Naturel Brut – WWF exhibition dedicated to links between Contemporary Arts and Environment.

Michaël Sellam, artist and researcher at Ecole Supérieure des Beaux Arts de Nantes Métropole, organises a colossal UFO crash on Ecole Supérieure des Beaux Arts de Nantes Métropole. The ship comes to be the starting point of alien sounds profusion during the entire exhibition.

Autumn 10 is a virtual exhibition dedicated to contemporary sound art practices.

On the occasion of Fiac 2010 and in collaboration with Slick Art Fair, MU invites Vibrö Magazine to conceive an urban itinerary for iPhone presenting 25 sound works from sound technicians, artists, musicians and designers to discover within the framework of a free stroll going from Slick (Palais de Tokyo) to Fiac (Grand Palais).

Sound environments exploration

Sound Delta project explores a new form of composition of sound in space. Equipped with headphones and a terminal, the spectator is located in real time, indoor or outdoor. He runs through the space walk to discover sounds scattered in space. Sound Delta proposes to explore, in space and time, the architecture of a sound work.

Sound Delta project proposes an augmented reality and spatial audio developed REMU, TELECOM ParisTech, the CNRS-LIMSI (Orsay), and University Paris 13 (L2TI). This R & D program is supported by the Agence Nationale de la Recherche. Applications are produced by artistic MU with the support of CNC – DICREAM

Filmer la Musique Festival is centered on multiple relations between music and video. It proposes projections, installations, performances and live concerts. Filmer la Musique rests upon a thorough search for independant movies and documentaries to present original and never-released-before works.

Dedicated to musical movies, the festival offers place to present most up-to-date formats (cell phones, dvcams, live concerts uploaded to You Tube…) Filmer la Musique highlights works that try to exist on the edge of broadcasting templates, and puts the accent on singular approaches, rare archives to contemporary creations. REMU designed the Mirror Ball Cinema, core of the festival, as an innovative broadcasting device.

Bestiole is a contemporary choregraphic show by Myriam Gourfink. Bestiole is based on improvisation and the dialogue in real-time between the dancers.

The choregraphic score, unknown by the dancer, is written in real time, broadcasted on the 21 screens of the scene.
REMU conceives the digital interface to make possible Myriam Gourfink’s project. With a graphic notation the device permits to drive the dancer during the show.

Interactive sound trail in Singapore

Based in Singapore city, Love is in the Air is a sound walk and interactive game trail created for Digital Nights Singapore.

Just arrived in Singapore, Marie takes a walk in the city and remembers the romance she lived there 5 years ago…
This sound immersive journey and love trail transport the player from Singapore to the streets of Paris. Guided by sound glimpses of the story, the player is immersed in this story and find clues along Marie’s path.
